Season 1 Finale Episode Interview with Dr. Ben Carson, Former Secretary of HUD, on Conversations at The Mansion. #bencarson #politics
ABOUT THE GUEST: Dr. Carson is a 2008 Presidential Medal of Freedom honorees, an 8-time best-selling author, conducted the first separation of conjoined twins as the world's top pediatric neurosurgeon, ran for President of the United States, holds 60 honorary doctorates, and was portrayed in his biopic movie (Gifted Hands) by Cuba Gooding, Jr.
In this Dr. Ben Carson Interview, he discusses politics, leadership, faith and his philosophy of life. #leadership #faith #lifephilosophy Dr. Carson often referred to as the most admired and most brilliant man alive, joins Rick for the Season 1 Finale Episode to discuss his philosophies around failure, success, generosity, faith, and his life-long focus on service through improving the education of America's children.
This wide-ranging conversation dives deep into likely the most brilliant mind by exploring the topics of Critical Race Theory, limited government, the human brain, education reform, the purpose of one's life, finding purpose through failure, and his newly-launched American Cornerstone Institute. #criticalracetheory
In 1987, Carson was the lead neurosurgeon of a 70-member surgical team that separated conjoined twins Patrick and Benjamin Binder, who had been joined at the back of the head (craniopagus twins). The separation surgery held promise in part because the twin boys had separate brains.

Tony Buzbee is one of the most successful and well-known lawyers in the country. Tony talks about being homeless for a night, partying with Snoop Dogg, and his high-profile cases. Tony Buzbee - the most intriguing man in the world - joins Rick Walker for this special edition of Conversations at The Mansion (actually taped at Tony's 73rd story office due to over a dozen d*ath threats that week).
Tony comments on the Deshaun Watson (#deshaunwatson Houston Texas QB #houstontexans) matter, and tells stories of the time he hired Snoop Dogg to help Houston (and why he was attacked for it), he saved Governor Rick Perry from life in prison, he gave away a Green Lamborghini to save his son from greed, had President Trump (#trump) over to his house, and his philosophy of defending victims from the super-predators of the world. Tony was on the homepages of both ESPN.com (#espn) and nearly every major new outlet website in the US at the time of this taping.
Tony discusses his business philosophy. Tony ran for Mayor of Houston against Mayor Sylvester Turner spending $15 Million of his own money (refusing donations), while at the same time having $22 Million of artwork stolen from his home - just to put things in perspective. #houston #houstonpolitics #texasamregents #rickperry
Rick sums up Tony's storied tenacity: "There's a reason why Tony has sharks on his jets. You don't mess around with a guy like that."
The New York Times stated it best when it said, "Mr Buzbee is a big, mean, ambitious, tenacious, fire-breathing Texas trial lawyer. Really big. Poster boy big."
